My heart is so full that words cannot fully express what I feel when I consider the plan God had for His children long before Adam and Eve fell.
God knew everything that would happen, yet He had already made a way to bring His children back to Himself. He did not wait for us to become worthy; He chose to do for us what we could never do for ourselves.
The price was far beyond what any ordinary human could pay. It required an infinite God to satisfy an infinite debt, and that price was paid through the shedding of blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Many wrestle with God’s character and His response to sin because we do not fully grasp the seriousness of sin, the holiness of God, or the extent of what He was willing to do to restore us to His family. This is about far more than simply “inviting God into your heart.” In our corrupted and sinful state, we could never initiate our own return. The invitation comes through God’s choosing, His grace, and His pursuit of us.
Humanity’s sin left us separated from God, unable to repair the breach we had created. Yet God did not abandon us to the consequences of our rebellion. He pursued us, paid the price for us, and opened the way for us to return.
Many have not yet accepted this truth, but the question is simple:
Are you going to accept the invitation?
Will you treat salvation as merely inviting God into your life while continuing to live according to sin? Anything apart from surrender to God remains in opposition to Him.
Only when we surrender to Him and receive His grace can we experience the fullness of what He has poured out for us.
He knew the fall would happen.
He knew the cost.
He knew we could never save ourselves.
And still, He chose to make a way back to Him.
That is grace. That is love. That is the invitation.
Ephesians 1:3-6
“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.”
